My name is Laura and I am a qualified NAATI Certified Italian translator based in Australia. I have worked in the translation industry since 2006, providing professional translation services for direct clients, agencies, businesses and organisations worldwide.

My academic background includes a BA and MA in Languages and International Communication, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic and Financial Translation. I have been NAATI certified since 2008.

I was born and raised in Italy and have always had a strong interest in languages. I have attended language courses in Germany, England, Spain and Portugal, and I have lived and worked in Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Portugal. I am now based in Australia, and I work as a full-time freelance translator.

Professional Translation Experience

Since 2006, I have worked as a freelance translator, providing translation services to agencies and direct clients in Europe, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, and many other countries.

From 2011 to 2014, I worked as a full-time in-house translator and reviser for a financial institution in Switzerland. My main responsibilities included translating and revising finance, banking, legal and marketing texts from German into Italian. This experience gave me strong knowledge of financial and banking terminology.

In 2008, I worked as an in-house translator for an Italian translation agency, where I translated mainly legal texts from English and German into Italian. I have also volunteered as an Italian translator for several non-governmental organizations.

I take pride in my profession and continuously invest in professional development to maintain high standards, improve my specialist knowledge and provide reliable translation services.

My main areas of specialization are marketing, tourism, finance, banking, economics, business, insurance, law, health, non-governmental organizations, community translation.
